Quick answer
What can battery storage and arbitrage do for a Scottish farm or business?
A commercial battery stores electricity when your tariff is cheapest and supplies your site when prices peak, so you buy less grid power at the most expensive times. Paired with solar PV it also keeps daytime generation for later use or export. We survey your site, design the system and install through MCS-certified partners across Scotland.

Who is commercial battery storage for?
Battery storage suits sites where electricity is a real cost, or where some of the load can move to cheaper hours.
Farms
Dairies, grain drying, irrigation and workshops with steady or seasonal demand.
Rural estates
Estate houses, holiday lets and outbuildings on one or several supplies.
High or flexible use
Businesses with large bills, or loads that can move to cheaper hours.
Warehouses
Cold storage, lighting and forklift charging across long operating days.
Hospitality
Hotels, restaurants and venues with heavy evening and weekend demand.
What do we install for businesses?
Each system is designed around your site, your tariff and how you use power through the day and the year.
Commercial battery storage
Sized for time-of-use and tariff arbitrage: charge in cheaper hours, use stored power at peak.
Solar PV
Roof or ground-mounted arrays on barns, sheds and commercial roofs, paired with storage.
EV charging
Chargers for fleet, staff and visitor vehicles, scheduled to use the cheapest power.
How do arbitrage savings work for a business?
A commercial battery charges when your electricity is cheaper, usually overnight or in off-peak windows, and supplies your site when unit rates peak. Power from solar PV that you cannot use straight away can be stored for later, or exported when the export rate makes that worthwhile. We do not quote typical savings, because they depend on factors specific to your site:
- The gap between your off-peak and peak unit rates (the tariff spread)
- How much power your site uses, and at what times of day
- Battery capacity, power rating and round-trip efficiency
- Solar generation on site and the export rate you are paid
- Any standing or capacity charges on your supply
After the survey we model these from your own bills and usage, so the figures in your quote are based on your site.
